Considerations

  • CC Licenses cannot be revoked!
  • You must be the copyright holder to apply a CC license to the work.  Check with your institution to verify their copyright policies regarding materials created while performing work duties.

How to apply a CC license or CC0 to your work

Choose the CC license that suits your needs, and communicate this clearly to potential users. You should include a link to the license as part of this communication.

This can be as simple as a bit of text stating and linking to the license in a copyright notice, like this:
